Artist profile:
Susan Peacock, jewellery designer

Susan Peacock began her career in jewellery design over twenty years ago when she began re-designing old and out-dated jewellery for friends and neighbours. What began as a hobby soon became a passion as Susan’s natural design ability came to the fore. The recipient of design and business awards – including a national De Beers Diamond Design Award – Susan Peacock is recognized as one of Australia’s leading jewellery designers.

Susan's work comprises ready-to-wear collections, custom-design and remodeling. The bold and distinctive designs – characterized by generous proportions of gold, smooth lines and meticulous attention to detail – inspire and delight jewellery lovers the world over.

“It is so gratifying to see the joy that my work brings to others,” says Susan. “My heart goes into my designs and I take sincere interest in fulfilling what a special piece of jewellery should bring both visually and emotionally.”

Travel has always been an important and influential resource for Susan, with the different sights, experiences and connections that come from journeying offering her enormous creative stimulation.

Having spent much time in many of the major cities of the world including London, Paris, Hong Kong and New York, Susan now feels most deeply drawn to explore parts of the planet that are far from the madding crowd.

The French Alps, the Camino de Santiago through Spain, the tiny island of Iona off the Scottish coastline, and the mountains outside of Santa Fe in New Mexico are some of Susan's most treasured destinations. Her visits to these places serve to provide her with an expanded awareness and connection to nature and the creative force that is within.

Susan Peacock is based on the Gold Coast, Australia.
