Heidi Kujat’s exceptional talent as a sculptor revealed
itself after she embarked on a personal journey exploring her passion
for the arts and her deep sense of spirituality.
After completing
degrees at Queens University in Ontario, Canada, Heidi travelled
extensively throughout America, Mexico and Asia. Opportunities presented
themselves for Heidi to learn and to grow and ultimately, to discover
that through the art of bronze sculpture she was able to express
her love of people, earth and sky.
Her extraordinary female forms are unique goddesses that offer pure emotions of love, joy, generosity, gratitude, compassion, grace, hope and faith. Nature is of utmost importance, and it is in nature that Heidi spends a great deal of her time, drawing from the vast reservoir of universal knowledge and personal experience.
“My passion lies in the ability to transform emotion into symbolic creations that inspire and uplift,” says Heidi. “I believe that art is not a competition bur rather it's about honouring the creative flow. We each have our own gifts and through collaboration we become an appreciator, creator and a facilitator.”
Her working process is one of meditation and involves great patience – each
piece often involves months of work. Heidi is extremely committed
to keeping her energy clear and centred to translate the purest
intentions into her sculptures. Lost wax originals are worked by
Heidi’s own gifted hands and moulds are made. These inspiring
bronzes are then cast, passing on to the appreciative eye or the
serious collector, her heartfelt love for all those who connect
with her work.
Heidi Kujat lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
